Kingtech 140 versions
Hello all, I'm slowly working on a JL F-18 which will by my second jet after my trainer. There are several good deals around the net on lightly used 140's, however I'm since I'm still new to the turbine game I'm not overly familiar with the different models that may have been out. I've seen one that have external valves and pumps and others that are internal. Would serial numbers provide clues as to what versions they may be?

I would highly recommend getting a new one since it smaller lighter with the new ECU tech also.
The original k140 was one of the most reliable turbines ever. They where real work horses. For the most part if it has a red can it has the valves inside. If its the old gold can it most likely has external valves.
