Default K310 update to K320?

I have a less than one year old K310 #140 with about 4 hours on it. I heard the K310 will be updated to the K320. Does anybody have any information about this update. If it is true when will it happen and what will it cost?

Viper,

How did it go, did you get the turbine replaced? I reached out to Dirk this evening to get mine replaced. LMK how it went, and if you've tried the new model. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I know 2 guys that sent their 310's back and have already got the new 320... No charge for upgrade, though you will have to ship it to factory overseas and pay shipping that direction. $100.00-$150.00 depending on who and how you ship.... One went FedEx and the other U.S. Postal... No issues either way.

I talked to both Dirk and Barry. The process is as described above, you have to do your own shipping. I have not done mine yet, but Barry recommended the Post Office shipping. I will probably send mine next month since I'm still working on the model for it.

I sent my K-310 to Taiwan yesterday for the K-320 upgrade. I used USPS Priority Mail which claimed 7-10 days for delivery. I requested an email from Kingtech when they received the turbine so we will find out if they send one. Hopefully it will go and return with out an issue. I will post results when I get any more info.

I got my new K310 to K320 upgrade back from Taiwan yesterday. Looks like a new cowl with the K-320 logo, new case with the old serial # on it, and same pump, ECU, and mounting clamp. I assume the insides are a new 320. I have no idea what they changed.

The process took about 6 weeks using shipping by International Priority Mail by USPS. Cost was about $90 from South Carolina. USPS told me that it would be 7-10 days enroute but it actually took 3 weeks. It was delivered Kingtech Taiwan on 3/26/2019 and it was shipped back to me on 4/9/2019. It was at Kingtech for 2 weeks and I received it on 4/15/2019, about 1 week in return shipping. Return shipping was by DHL at no cost to me.

The contact at Kingtech is a guy named Chuang. His email is: [email protected]. He said to declare $50.00 for return repair on shipping invoice. Chuang was good at answering my email but sometimes understanding of my question was difficult but we did email several time and he always responded to my questions.

The email he sent to me is as follows:

"Please send to factory is better, address:"

Kingtech Turbine Co.,Ltd.
Office: No.198, Ln. 818, Gongxing Rd., Pingtung City, Pingtung County 90086, Taiwan.

E mail: [email protected]
Tel:+8868-7510065 Fax:+8868-7514786

Shipping invoice please write: return repair value: usd50

Thank you
Chuang

It was pretty painless if you have the time.
Good luck,
Gary

FYI, I checked my K-320 ECU today and it seems like it was untouched. The software date is still 2017 and the time still shows the same 4 hours which is what it was when I sent it to Kingtech.
