have used both and coverite for my j3 cub and neither monokote or ultra come near it..but then I wouldnt think of using coverite on my pattern either..frankly if you understand how each covering works they all have their nitch..monkote is light and when weight is critcal say electric??I want the monkote and I love ultra too because you can use it at lower temps etc etc..I have built many planes and have even used fabric with talc and dope to authenicate a ww! warbird..its a preference thing .. there was only one covering that was crap and that was tower's econokote..now if you want to argue quality theres one material you never wanted to use..

Coverite was the first covering I tried after years of using nothing but MonoKote.

I too thought it was excellent.

Until a year later when the plastic started coming loose from the color

thats not good either..my planes generally dont last that long..gravity seems to take over and well a new kit is born .lol..
