Default Quadrotech TR 260 72"

I just acquired this from a friend who had it shelved in his garage for years. All that was in the box was the airplane kit. No instructions. It has sheeted foam wings and a fiberglass body with no internal reinforcement. And it looks like something is missing from the front part of the cowl.
Does anyone have any experience with one of these kits?
I'd like to use a Gas engine. I was thinking of a 28cc or 35cc.

hi
i dont know this model but from the picture i can assume the following

should ne a nice exprience to start allmost from 0 with amaiden kit

u can choose the colors by your self - any schem u like
cowl - looks like the front rounded part is missing - i belive you can find a exta300/cap/edge cowl that will fit fine
engine - 25-35 cc gas sounds right
fuse: i wll add some "back bone" on the fire wal, center part and servo tray, and on the tail part - u can make it your self from ply wood and epoxy...

good luck and please post some more pics as you progress with the work

some more ideas

does the wing have a bar or tube for support?
maybe to add a nice carbon fiber tube in the center for safety?

CG: the most important part - try to follow the 1/3 part from thge leading edge o fthe wing rule with some nose heavy
then you can add weight/move battery or engine to compensate till you get it right

This is my current wing spar courtesy of Guitar Hero.
It would be cool if I could actually use it but it will probably snap on the first high G loop.
This thing is definitly not an ARF. I guess the original owner robbed a lot of parts out of this or it just came with nothing.
Good thing I like building.
