IMAC ONE DESIGN ?
Can anyone help me with instructions re this plane. I puchased this from a member, but won't get into that. Anyway, I have built some kits years ago and am getting back into the hobby. I do not think I have the experience to assemble this with out instructions at least. Any help would be appreciated.

You might try to track down the guy that bought this IMAC One Design - sold on the RCU market place. I see in the pic that there were instructions (green). Get 'em to make ya a copy.

Hi, Yup that was me and they weren't instructions as I thought also and the kit is questionable, but I guess buildable. Not as represented, etc. I should know better, but thought I'd give someone with no ratings a chance. Thanks for the try.

What era is the kit from? What other similar plane kits were popular at the time? Same performance goal - same wing plan - same type of tail feathers - same fuse type? Guessing that the building technique would be very similar for that "time". I finished building a Bridi Killer Chaos - my first build of that era. The instructions didn't help much other than give me guidelines. Club members that had "been there done that" laughed with (at) me because I've only built laser cut contemporary kits with instructions that included more pictures than text. The Bridi instructions assumed that this wasn't my first rodeo and that the building sequence and techniques were similar to many other kits.
So, what other similar kits were popular at the time the IMAC One Design was produced?
Em, hey Gray Beard - you listening? Have you run across one of these in your building career?

RE: IMAC ONE DESIGN ?
There never was a " One Design " for IMAC. In the '80's the full scale guys dreamed up an class where all the guys competing would fly the same aircraft design. I think a couple prototypes and even a 2 place version called DR109 was built. The idea just didn't catch on. What the OP has is a kit modeled after the full scale One Design. It was either produced by Bob Godfry or I think Frank Noll had one too but not 100% sure.

Both the GodfreyandKnoll designs were 38%. Here's a link to my Godfey build www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9582545/anchors_9620353/mpage_2/key_/anchor/tm.htm#9620353,
if the parts look like these it's a Godfrey. If you have the plans what more do you need? Just start gluing sticks together and reducing the parts count in the box.

Well then that makes life a little more difficult. When said instructions I assumed you were looking for a step by step instruction book. Without plans it sounds like you got a box of balsa wood!
