Are you using cable or rod?

I am using rod. I don't think i can use cable because throttle does not have a spring.

What you may have to do is run the throttle linkage against the fuselage side & angle the linkage across after the firewall.

99% of model engines don't have a spring return on the throttle. The cable Huck mentions has an inner cable & an outer sleeve & is quite stiff & will pull as well as push. I find cables, either wire type or plastic type (known as snakes or Gold N Rods), the easiest for throttle linkages. - John.

Could i turn the carbi around the other way so the throttle is on the other side of the engine and just missing the fuel tank.

Ditto, cables and Golden rod works just fine

Can you tap a bolt hole into a fwd location of the motor mount to mount a crank that goes back to the throttle? Use ball links for connection.
