Normal is boring and greatly over rated!

Later this afternoon I might be going out to the airport and I can get you measurements from the real thing if that would help.

I made a quick run out to the airport today and got these shots. Over height of the logo is 8-3/8". I think my hand slipped just a tad when I took the close up pic. Hope this helps.

I would like to be in the club guys. I have a 20 year old Sig 1/6 scale cub. Man was that a kit for a then 15 year old to build. I'm getting ready to start building a Goldberg for the spring. Got a question for you guys. Will the Hangar 9 40 size cub gear fit the Goldberg? I would build in landing gear grooved blocks if it's the same width.

Thanks,

I measured the fuselage width of my H9 40 Cub where the front cross-brace fits into the notches on the fuse. The width at that point was 5-3/8".

Hope this helps,

Bob

Thanks for the help Bob. Looks like the Goldberg is only 4 13/16" at F2. Guess I'll have to go with the stock wire and fab up some bungees.

Hey Mr-Punk, I canoed Rockcastle River with a Siezmore kid (first name???) way back in time when I was a punk kid... ~1980. It was a lot of fun!

Hey Arup, I'm Jimmy. I knew a couple Sizemore kids in school. But that dates back to early 90's.

Peace,

Mr Punk,
Take a look at post #91 in this link http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/arf-...er-moth-4.html.
It shows a pic of a custom landing gear I made for my 1/5 Cub. Having the springs working in compression is much better than using bungee or o-rings as it prevents the landing gear from completely pancaking.

What does the tailwheel assembly fit on? The link went to their main page.

Do the three pieces fit together like a leaf spring? That does look nice.

It looks like the tail wheel kit they put in their 1/5th Scale Cub kit which I built.

Looks like it has one more leaf than the one in the kit, but very good tail wheel setup. I use it on my 4*120 as well. Has anyone used the Robarts gear for the 1/5th cub?

I did some more work on mine last night, the left wing is mostly assembled, at the step where the wing is removed and the under side built. It came out extremely light, may have to rethink my power plant for this, the OS 70 may be too much power for it now.

As I mentioned before here is a picture of my New Cub Logo that I designed for a few Builds. Gary over at Decal- it, did a fantastic job on these. From a concept idea to finished product it only took a few days and most of that was Time in the hands of the post office. Thanks again Gary.

Hey cool! I like it! Maybe I'll have to build me a tundra Cub someday and get that decal on it. Just need to... save up the money... Okay, it may be a while!
