Tony linked to his video via his mobile smart phone, some desktop browsers have trouble with RTSP links... here's the direct link through youtube.

Thank you for the kind words John and bigbird.
I kick myself for not starting a build thread of the PA-11.
I thought I would share I few pictures at this stage. Just starting to begin the finer detail work. I'm not one for explaining each process but pictures speak for themselves.

The floor board at this time is just temporary to get all the parts together.
The lower half of the cabin is mainly sheet metal and fabric on the upper sections on the actual plane.
At this time I have most of the interior covered with 1/64" ply. I am also thinking of cover the inner main root ribs with solartex.
Your cub looks fantastic great work.

Would a J-3 have the same details?

I like the look of the Pa-11 with the wheel pants... the 1/3 scale cubs really show the details... hard to believe that's going to be a static model only... is there a particular location it will be displayed at; museum perhaps, or just a conversation piece in your home? (if you don't mind me asking)

This build is the Balsa USA Piper Super Cub PA-18 1/3 scale kit. And when Busa advertises 1/3 scale they are on the mark. I have measured the actual Cub in great detail and I cannot find any measurement off more than 1/16 of an inch.
I am building this for a friend that owns PA-11 Super Cub . I asked the owner before I started the build if he wanted to fly her.
He replied and I quote ( Why would I want to fly a model when I have the real thing).
This model will be displayed in a private hanger above the actual plain you mite say a private museum. She will have good company along side two Steermans. I agree it is a shame.
I had thoughts of displaying her in Toledo next year but I don't know how they would feel about a powerless model.
My next endeavor will be converting the cowl that came with kit from a PA-18 to a PA-11. I have to admit I am dreading this faze.

If no one minds I will post minor updates here.
One thing I would like to share and I am pretty proud of are the hinges on the rudder and elevator. I recreated them in the 1/3 scale within .005.
