I have a cub that had some yellow tape that was placed along where the window meets the fuselage but since i have a lo engine it hes taken a toll on the tape so i removed it. Can anyone think of something i can use to make a trim like in the attached picture?

you could use some 1/64th veneer cut to semi circular shape following the flow of the windshield. make a cardboard template first. you could then glass it with .5 or .75 fiberglass cloth for reinforcement from splitting. or some thin styrene sheet material cut in semi circular shape as well.

Guys please remember my family in your thoughts and prayers. Mom had a major stroke the night of the election. Yesterday morning we removed life support and now in hospice care. Mom loved the cubs as much as I did and had went to a lot of fly-ins.

The balsa usa l4 is not a kit. It's a mod to the standard kit.

Sorry to hear about your mom Cub Man. We had a scare with my 90 year old mom a few weeks back but we got lucky and she bounced back. We loss my mother in-law Lucy back in January she was in Hospice care too. We miss her but we know she is back with her husband Paul in a better place.

Shiprex,
Looks nice. So you use the L4 plans in-place of the normal j3? Did you have to provide any additional wood?

just some 1/4" stock and I got some 1/16" for window frames when the time comes. Mostly built on the j3 plan but watch the L4 for wire braces in the front windshield.

At one time BUSA did have a kit. A friend built one a few years back. You can see it in the background in these pics of my Cessna.
