Default CG Bucker Jungman

Anyone building a CG Bucker Jungman? I am currently building one for a friend. I am putting in a DLE 20cc gasser. This will be the 1st gasser I have built. So far it has been a pretty fun build. If you have one, would love to see pictures or video.
Here are some pictures. I am going with the box color scheme.

This looks like a very nice kit and an even nicer build - I'm jealous.
Keep up this good build!!

Cheers

Nice, clean build. It's a great flying airplane, pity they aren't more around. Mine's 8 yrs old now and was entirely refurbished in 2009. Current engine is OS 120 AX which powers it very well. Ultacote and Monokote covering. I modified the interplane strut arrangement to that of the Sig Hog Bipe to simplify field setup. Enjoy.

Sorry that I don't have the cg measurement handy..

But a friend of mine has just started flying one of these with I think a 24 cc gas on it.. The plane seems to handle well at that weight.. no issues so far.

Nice build! I have one that's 15 years old and needs to be refurbished. I flew it so much, that I wore out a Satio 150 twice! it's a real sweet flyer. I still have a NIB kit for that someday build. Good luck with yours and many happy flights!

BTW - where did you get the glass parts from??

Hey guys! Thanks for the compliments. I am building this kit for a friend. This was a partial kit, so I had to fabricate a lot of the missing pieces. The kit looked like it had been stored in a barn. Luckily, I have a kit in my kit collection, so it wasn't to hard to rectify the situation. I believe the fiber glass parts came from fiber glass specialties http://fiberglassspecialtiesinc.com/. They make some nice parts. I have the elevator control rods and the rudder pull/pull system in now and almost have the throttle linkage completed. Next will be figuring out the proper configuration for the gas fuel tank, never done one before. I believe it is a little different to set up then a glow fuel tank.
As far as the instruction manual, I will give you the one I have when I am finished with this build. (Don't know how long that will be though)
The pictures of your planes are appreciated. Thanks
Dan

I used to have one of these badboys. Mine had a Saito 150 in it. It was a great flying plane. I wish that they would bring it back.

I just built a CG Bucker Jungmann kit that has been on a back shelf in my garage for almost 20 years. I finally got started on it this winter. I installed an inverted Saito 150 with a Sullivan Glow Driver. I did change the kit to an open cockpit instead of closed. The CG kit went together nicely, its a shame they dropped the Bucker. I'm just sorry I took so long to get around to building it!

Looks good. Love the color scheme. Still working on mine. Trying to build three planes at one time slows me down and work has been hectic.
But I will get there. If you get video of the plane, would love to see it.

I used to fly one with a Saito 1.50 as well-super easy going plane that would still do most any manuever you wanted. As much interest as these generated it is a shame that they killed it.....that and the CG Ultimate just blows my mind!!

Dragonov3,

I am very curious about that DLE 20cc gasser. I have a Jungmann Kit and a NIB Saito 1.50, but I find myself wondering about that DLE. I am in no hurry as time and space prevent me from getting to it right now. I would appreciate your thoughts after you get it completed and flying.

The Bucker Jungmann is one I am really looking forward to getting going. Many guys around here were putting Moki 1.8's in them. I can't believe that the CGM greats are gone! The Bucker, Extra 300, Ultimate 10-300, Staudacher 300GS, and Sukhoi will be missed. The only one I didn't get was the Super Chipmunk( and its the only one still available).
