RE: Can Sig Something Extra kit 3D
Its not a 3d bird, wing loading is to high, because a plane can hover does not make it 3d, I have just started to play with 3d planes and have found that hovering is not the most important thing for 3d.
It is a great fun plane though, andif you extend your wing a few inches each side it could be more 3d capible.

Funfly as like UCD?
Oops, my bad. I really wanted to ask regarding the Mayhem
But Sig told me they are getting the Mahem 40 ARF. Since this is the kit building forum, I will ask that question on the ARF forum

I'm not into 3D much, but I do know that the SSE will be more 3D capable if you add counterbalances to the elevator and rudder. The only design problem that I found is that the model is short coupled. Other than that, it is an excellent design. I've used one as a trainer for students.
I think flying 3D is mostly about the pilot. I've seen a guy fly a buddy's LT-40 with a 46FX, and hover, do rolling circles, and all of the other maneuvers. He had never flown the model before this. I don't remember all of the things that he did but it was all of the 3D stuff the guys do at our field.

Maybe so, but I sure wouldn't want to learn to 3D on an LT-40. Learn to fly on it, then move on to easier planes for aerobatics, then move back to those when yer ridiculously talented!
