Default 1/4 scale Red Lion Hostetler Racer kit

I'm looking for info on the "Red Lion Hostetler" kit from Precision Cut Kits. www.hostetlersplans.com/gilmore.html Has anyone had experience with the build or how it fly's? Considering adding it to my wish list for Christmas.
I really like the look of it! I never see them at the field and it would be my first 1/4 scale plane. I fly mostly 60 size warbirds, do you think it would be a good "first 1/4 scale" plane to transition to?

Thanks

If you haven't got the kit already then do a search and make sure PCK is still in operation. Not too long ago there were several problems with PCK and I haven't heard if he is still in operation or not?

I talked with Larry Katona at the Toledo Show. All was well at that time.

Thanks GB, Now that you mention it I do recall reading a thread somewhere here about them. I don't have the kit yet, looking more closer to December. Still working on that Fokker! lol
Thanks Tom, I'll contact them for more info. I did notice there are other kit cutters that offer this kit as well. Just need to do some research.
I have watched some vids on youtube in which the guys were flying the Byron(sp?) kits with the fiberglass fuse. They looked great! I wonder how the Hostetler wood kit compares..
