Guy's how many of you learned to fly with the Kadet! Love that plane!
I think ink the Sun Dancer ARFs were an awesome flying well conceived plane. Every so often you will run across a NIB large Sun Dancer that commands big $$ when offered for sale. I wish they would bring back the large Sun Dancer bipe in a kit.

It's funny that you say a list of parts you had to "find". Nothing to "find". Most all of the parts were right there on hand at Radio Shack!!! Makes laugh at the current Radio Shack commercial going on where they guy working at Radio Shack hangs up the phone and says, "That was the 80's, they want their store back". Well yes, I do want my freaking store back!!!!!!" I remember the days when you could actually walk into Radio Shack and buy parts for a project you were working on. Now you're reduced to just 3 bins of drawers and more than likely they aren't going to have the parts you are going to need for your project and you're going to wind up having to order them online!!!!

I skipped the whole trainer thing, but kind of wish I hadn't. I'd love to have one for tooling around, but don't have the desire to pay for one. Lol. I guess my cub might be considered a trainer, kind of.

Anybody got a Sig P-51-B New in the box or close to PHX, Az? I want one if it is at all reasonable. Got one that is Evolution 100 powered with gear and flaps....want to electrify one.. wallace.tharp

Yes, an ARF with flaps and mechanical retracts and one of the best flying war birds ever ...landed like a dream. In O. D., the version flown by Major Domonic S.Gentile. A "B" model. Same as the "C" I'm told, but built at a different factory. Called Shangri-la. wallace.tharp

Just wondering where that field was? Looks familiar.
Shorty after the Spacewalker came out, my club had their annual Giant Fly. I built mine for Giant flies, so I brought it to the field for the event. Four other guys did the same. Great plane - I can't count how many flights I have on it over 20+ years. I check it out good before each season. Nice gently flyer. My buddy Larry who is quite a good pilot has been able to do inverted flat spins with it. We found that it doesn't like to recover very well from them so no more. I think for this year I will change the landing gear out with a set by Bob S. who is no longer with us. Carry on SIG - you are a great company.

Completely Agree. Use to dream of the Cobra as a first plane back in the 80's but then settled on a Bridi Trainer .40. Built a SIG Kadet Sr. back in the day for a friend and it was a very high quality experience throughout the build. My next purchase will definitely be the T-Clips 70. Sounds like they put the same passion into ARF's as they do kits.
