I love it when I see a kit STILL in production and the guy is trying to sell it above retail plus shipping and his box is water stained on top of it. I saw an old VK WWI kit like that and a new one with better hardware was available from Proctor at a cheaper price! I owned the VK DR1 kit for a short while but got out of the hobby for a while and sold it. I still debating if I want to build the VK kit or switch to the Balsa USA kit.

Hi Guys, I am trying to get my dear brother and his son into building models and he bought this kit as his first. Well, not exactly since our dad bought him the kit almost 30 years ago but it was stolen in a moving truck theft along with a Byron Bonanza and a Nosen Mr. Mulligan!! Does anyone have the instructions to this kit that they could sell/send me to give him? I will pay a reasonable amount as my brother Ryan would love to get started!!! Dad's little hook, bless him!

Is the product manufacturer not the most logical first place to look?
If you checked, you'd find that the manual which you are looking for is available FOR FREE as a PDF download on their sweb site.

Why not just answer his question nicely? This was a really nice thread until you came along
Instead of farting around, mooching around here and doing things the hard way, why don't you just go to Sig right off the bat?

What I was trying to say is that it's a shame to see that so many fine kits have been discontinued. I keep thinking how can we get young people interested in building something again?

You want them to live in your world, they don't want to. But you should see what they do with Quadcopters, thats their world and they are good at it, building and flying.

Ryan STA manual
I have spoke with Sig and two things transpired. One is I sent them a copy of the manual to put on their site, no they did not have one, and it should be available by the end of the day. Second is they said I could put it here as well. So the next post, or how ever many it takes will consist of the manual. So that there is no interruption of the manual posting's I will wait until 1:30pm for everyone to see this and not to post until after I have loaded all of it. It is by my time 1:12pm.
