I want to make a regular printout into a decal.. how do i do this?
I want to turn a printout/logo from the internet into a decal. Any ideas- tips on how to do this?
In case you want to know which one. Its the "porkchop express" logo from Big Trouble Little China.
Go ahead everyone and copy my brilliant idea

LOL that was a cool movie
I imagine you buy sticker sheets from WalMart and such, then print the image on it and stick it ___________ (fill in the blank). I think they sell like 20 per package in 8x11 sheets you can use... Check in the stationary spots...
Not too hard really...

The biggest issue with using this technique is relying on the ink from your printer to be fuel proof. Not only that, but it must stand up to the cleaning and wiping down of the model at the end of the day. But, if you were to shoot a coat of clear paint over the top of the decal, it should work out. I've been thinking about this one myself, just haven't had the time to try it out.

I have read in anothor thread that you can use a product sold in office supply stores used to make stick-on fake tatoos. The ink is put on the sticky side protecting it from fuel. I would clear coat over it anyway especially the edges, I have made some with window sticker sheets and clear coated over them. My planes are all electric so I do not have to fuel proof anything. I have used regular photo paper to make those with white in them.
