Default Aileron is a little long...?

Still working on a Sig Kadet Mark II.. It's a trainer plane and I made my 1st mistake on my kit.. It might not be a big deal, other than Bugging me, but my Aileron follows the curve of my wing tip but I didn't give it enough compound angle like the underside of the tip.. This leaves a little flat triangle tip maybe 1/2" by 1/2" sticking past the angle of the wing tip.

Will this do anything negative while flying ? I guess I was thinking about Flutter or whatever it's called.. Will this little angle stress the aileron?

It's hard to take pics of too..

I would like to see a few more pics of the wing tip from different angles but from what I can see so far you have nothing to worry about ...I cant really picture what I am looking at..

It's not going to affect the way the plane flies at all. If the way it looks bothers you simply take a sanding block and sand it flush with the wing.

If you want to understand more on flutter Minnflyer (R.I.P.) did a great little article that will explain what does, and more importantly does not, cause flutter.  You can find that artilce here: Minnflyer on: Flutter

Hope this helps

The pic would be if you were looking at the angle of the wing tip , the little tip sticking out is the aileron. This would be like you were holding the fore part and looking aft..

Like I said it is really minimal , 1/2" x 1/2" or less.. I guess it's just the looks and the thought that I missed this before covering and mounting that bugs me.. Looking down on the wing the wing tip and aileron line up and follow that slight curve that it has. If you look underneath (the pic) is were you see it.

If I understand properly the camera is looking at the top of the wing tip toward the rear end of the model at an angle of about 60 degrees to the wingspan.

I cannot see the aileron hinge line but you say the protrusion is the aileron.
I do not understand why the big color difference not appearing on the wing top trailing edge.

As was said. just sand it down to the wing tip contour or cut it and finish by sanding.

Haha.. I told ya it was hard to take pics of.. LOL. That pic is the underside or bevel of the wing tip... The top of the wing would be the upper left corner of the pic.. The bottom of the wing is the thin white line mid pic.. The bevel of the wing tip is all red and the aileron is the little red tip that juts out past the red of the bevel..

Haa.. I know I can just sand it, but didn't want to redo the covering since it is now mounted and hinges glued etc..

Thanks!
