Well, took a little while but almost completed painting. Only have to paint the letters on tail and may paint the stars and bars on.
Still need to finish the canopy and she will be close to install of the radio and first flight..

Ok, answers to some questions, the exhaust will have to come out the side of fuse, hate it but don't know what else I could use. A Pitts muffler won't work. Any ideas?
Paul, the canopy I got from Jet Hanger Hobbies, perfect fit. Just got lucky on that.
The A7 is just a neat looking jet to me and the smaller House of Balsa A7 flew great, I just wanted a bigger one.
Got the lettering painted on. Just need to finish canopy and it will be ready to seal off the whole plane with system 3 sealer that is suppose to go over latex with no problems, I hope....

RE: A7 Corsair Scratch Build Prop Jet..
There's a guy on ebay selling larger plans of the HoB A-7. He doesn't say that of course. I was searching for some other plans and ran across his offering of a .45 size A-7 so I bought a set. Upon opening them it was obvious they were enlarged versions. I didn't inspect them closely enough to see if he'd made any additions or adjustments. But If somebody wants an enlarged version of the A-7 those plans would be a good start then send them over to a laser cutter for a set of parts.

Ok, final pics of finished model. Still have to install radio, muffler and balance it. I hope the CG will be in the same position on this
larger model as it was on the original HOB A7. Any thoughts on that guys??
Finally got canopy finished and painted... Thanks to all for your comments and following along.
When I fly it on it's maiden I'll try to get someone to take pics...
Paul get to work on all those kits man,, you got plenty to do when you retire...LOL..

Thanks Paul for the kind remarks... As far as a muffler, that is still up in the air. The stock muffler will work but will be hanging
out the side like a tumor. Anyone have any suggestions?

J'Tec have compact styles that exhaust vertically (they run along side the cylinder).
Not sure how much room you have in that big chin inlet but check these out.

Bisson has some as well...this for an OS 91 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKJD6&P=7

Thanks Hattend, I will have to make a mockup of those mufflers to see if they will fit inside the cowl.
Not much room in there.
