Olive drab is laid down so all painting is done.
I am dropping the cowl off for the artwork tomorrow and should have it back next weekend.
Now I can install the canopy.
From on what I remember asitone will dull the paint, I used Klass Koat paint.
Got a little more detailing to do.
I should get the fuselage all done this weekend and start on the wing next week.

So I was not happy with the navigation lighting system I used for my 40% cub and was going to use the same on my P-47, but it is way to weak. I am coming up with a new system. I found 8mm 1w pre wired LEDs that you can hook directly up to a 6v to 9v battery. No controller needed. I got assorted 10 pack of red green and white. I will run them of a rcexl optical switch and a 8v LILO battery. This system will rune under $50 for everything. I also found the light holders, got 100 for $7 on eBay
The landing light will be 10w 12v light from Home Depot running on a rcexl optical switch with a 11v battery.

Got most of the right side done.
fasteners are brass vinyl and really pop.
Canopy details are next. I think I will use screws on the canopy as I want to be able to remove it to maintain the cockpit and pilot.
Still a lot to do on the left side and the bottom.
I cant wait to see all this in natural light as the details will blend better at 5' to 10' and still visible in the air.
Need to do the cowl next and bring it to Amy.

I need to clear coat it this weekend. I haven't seen it short of the pic you all have seen, I will pick it up tomorrow. So this cost $100, well worth it in my opinion in the whole scheme of a build. She said she will do noes art for $100-150 depending on the size and intracasy of the art work but basic noes art like mine is a $100.
I screwed the initial layout of the painting on this cowl so it is not grew to scale as the yellow is to big, it needed to stop short of the cowl ring line and the red needed to come back about a 1/4" but this will do for this build. When I do Angie (Miester) build I will get it right and I know Amy will be able to do an amazing job on the noes art.

Thanks T/B been a long time sense I had thought about an assembly line. Much like the one I worked on when the old Convair Plant #2 building the F=102 biggest difference was the 102 line moved on rails, and most of the assemblies were carried with the over head crane's
