I just wanted to share this thread with you fellow Sig Senior enthusiasts ! This is my Monocoupe that was recently maidened with a Sig Senior wing attached to an abandoned scratch build project. At 12-13 pounds it shows you what the Wing is capable of..

Foodstick,

I love your Monocoupe and can barely stop looking at the pictures.

It remnds me so much of "The Good Old Times" when I was building similar models.

Thanks for your posting.

Sig senior wings are a great thing to have ! The airplane is a marvel of fun if the fuse gets broken, the wing is good for so many experiments and projects...

Thanks for all the nice comments ! I took my other senior out today ..This one has a big bomb drop box built in. Mr Bill the stuffed toy did some INSANE sky diving (without a shoot!) hahahah Its very funny watching him slowly fall down in a slow spin !

Getting ready for a fun fly with my new Kadet Senior (Electric) this weekend in York, SC. I had it up last weekend teaching my 13 yr old grandson. Only problem is he hogs it.

Nice to see you Gary. It is looking good. You should be test flying soon.

I am out of commision for a few days
.I had a Blepharoplasty on both eyes (reduced the eyelids on both peepers). It was getting very hard to see. Not in any pain today but sure am swollen. Using plenty of ice packs on my eyes to control the swelling. The bruising is really to starting to set in.

Ken

The muscle strain around the left eye is already gone. So that is al ready a plus, just have to wait for the incension healing now.

Hope to be able to work on my planes in a day or two at least for short stretches.

What is the covering, Gary? Solartex or ? The OD is right on for Army. Matched my fatigues perfectly. I used monocote on my P-47 and the color was so off for OD I had to paint it. Turned out well, but an extra step and weight.

Thanks Gary

Now on a Kadet note.

Continuing the Kadet derived design for the tri motor biplane.
I found a rib template for my Kadet Jr. The newly redesigned wings will be built more like the wing for the Sr. There will be 2 interplane struts, with functional wire rigging. The wings will still be 9” chord, but stretched to 54” from the original 48”, area will be 972sq” total. I intend to make 2 piece wings and join them at the center with joining tubes and just leave the upper and lower halves attached to each other. The fuse will be deeper, wider, and longer than the Jr fuse and bigger tail feathers a course. Power is intended to be three .15s. This is a much smaller design than I originally came up with but more practical for a small apartment build. Keeping a lot of the features I discussed earlier such as three vertical stabs and the inverted gull wing lower wing, and pod mounted (between the wings) outer engines.

I will start a separate build thread when I start cutting wood, so I don’t clutter this fine thread.

Ken
