I have a 2010 Grand Caravan with Sto-n-go. I can put a 4x8 sheet of plywood back there, lol.

I have a little Ford Ranger, my second. Darn good trucks! With my bigger planes that I cant fit into the extended cab, I use a sleeping bag bungee chorded down to prevent fly-a-ways. Luckily I'm only 4 miles from my home field and the speed limit is only 45 MPH. And I always obey the speed limits.
I started covering my LT40 tonight. Got the H-Stab done and the Solartex is awesome! My choice of color might of been a mistake though. This next pic doesn't tell the true color because of the low light. The olive drab rules out any sort of "Sportiness" that I was going for in the beginning of this build. I'm now thinking of some white markings and maybe something like U.S. Army.
What do yall think?

I thought solartex was for clothing! haha. How does it feel compared to monokote brand? What are the differences that you like/dislike about it?
As far as color, you DEFINITELY need a nice contrast to make it look good. Go with white for sure. I like the green! Use the white contrast to outline the plane and I bet it will look great.

Hard to explain. Solartex has sort of a grain to it being a fabric. It's much easier to stretch corner to corner without wrinkling all up. The direction of how you need to tack it down it much easier than the plastic coverings I have tried and it shrinks better around compound curves than the plastic coverings. And it has a "Real" look to it like a real, maybe vintage plane. It doesn't have that plastic "Shiny" look and has some texture to it. What I don't like about it is the cost. It's expensive! This 5 meter roll cost me $62 with shipping. Ouch! It's also heavy. So you wouldn't be able to use it on a 1/2A plane, a SSE or anyother high performance plane that requires light weight. Of course with Kadets, or 4*'s with high wing loading, weight is not an issue.

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
Count me in, my first R/C plane was a Kadet MK II back in 1974. Gosh can I remember that far? A guy named Tom Bunker in Las Vegas tought me how to fly it. I have had a few planes since then, mostly Sig. Now my best flyer is a Sig 110" Rascal but I just finished a new Sig Senior Kadet Blue and white ARF which I'm making it Electric. The First Kadet Senior I had back in the 1980's I made electric with an Astro Flight system with eighteen nicad battries. Belive it or not it flew fantastic even with that weight. That is why I'm building another senior with electric. Alot lighter with the lipo battries.
So please count me in

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
This thread is amazing - started on 2/2 and already into its 11th page! Who know Kadet's had such a warm spot in folk's hearts?
I have scanned through the posts here, but haven't seen anyone post the following information.
Is there a list somewhere of all the variations of Kadets ever offered - either kitted or as plans - including specifications?
For kits, I would also like to know when they were introduced as well as when they were discontinued.
One reason I ask is that I have a old Kadet Jr. kit. It seems to be about the same size as the more recent Seniorita kit.
I suspect that the Seniorita might be a simplified construction version of the Kadet Jr.?
I would really appreciate it if someone knowledgeable would tell me what the basic differences between these two Kadet versions are.

I don't do Facebook myself. Well, I tried it once and I started hearing from old girlfriends and it got , well, I apparently owe 17 billion dollars in child support. Thank God I had the offer from a fellow yesterday from Nigeria that is offering me 18 billion dollars!
No disrespect, I don't do those social media sites. I prefer a "Moderated" forum.

I did a scratch-built self-design with Solartex Stenson Green and Cream. I love the way it covers compound curves.

I have built and flown both the Telemasters and the Kadets.
The Kadet wins for me, though there is a soft spot in my heart for the Telemasters.
I currently have a micro telemaster that I have been flying for a little while to get my feet wet again. I plan to sell it when I get the 4star in the air.

I just saw post, flip me in!
My first 'big' R/C plane was a Kadet Jr. w/ Enya .29 in 1982, later that year I picked up a Mk.I (see Kub) and about 13-14 years ago i built a Sr., slightly modified. The Kadet Mk. I 'Kub' is still flying, has same pushrods, but landing gear, fuselage, wing and tail feathers have been replaced at various times over the last thirtysome years a long with 3-4 different engines, T.T. 40, Fox .50 and now O.S. .32!
thanks,
Mark

Dangit! I'd like to grab a Rascal 110 at some point after reading about it all night... but I'm not ready to pull the trigger on a knee-jerk purchase just yet, lol. Probably not till this summer. Maybe I can request a discount at that time. Likely not, though. Argh.

RE: ~~Sig Kadet Brotherhood~~.
Do you guys know if there are any plans in the near future for an "electric" ARF Sig Rascal 110? I don't mean a conversion, but one designed by SIG to carry batteries/ESC/Motor instead of a fuel power system?
