Well you have to make allowances for the hosting price.

Yeah, no problem with the price - none at all.

Schwalbe - nice Kadet! shouldn't have much trouble seeing it - - - as long as you're not flying on the grass. (LOLOL, I crack me up). Hey, welcome to RCU!!

Well, I accidentally and certainly joyfully won a nice looking, fully built Kadet on eBay - a lowball bid which I forgot I placed til I won.
The seller suddenly went out of town so I have to wait til next week to pick up but here is the pic I went off of to bid on eBay.
So, I'll take a Sig Kadet B'Hood number(!)

Best, Poughkeepsie Pete

Outstanding! Y'know, some people have ALL the luck - that's a great pick you've got there. Well done!

Sure thing, we've got a number for you - #189's all yours. Welcome to the SIG Kadet Brotherhood!!

And here we are once again, the SIG Kadet Brotherhood, as I've got it today:

A bad day in the shop. Well, a partially bad day. Since the weather is slowly changing I thought I had better spray the topcoat on my LT-40 now. First I had to install the main landing gear before topcoating. This went well. So I got out my paint stand and rigged the plane for spraying. I checked everything and all looked good. So I spray the control surfaces n wing and get to the fuselage. I spray one side and bottom then turn it for the top and other side. I spray the top and other side and then I see it. Fingerprint marks just under the wing saddle. Boy was I mad. I just did not see this in the shop. So I set the fuselage aside to see if I can fix this before continuing.

It doesn't end there. While waiting to spray a second coat on the rest of the plane, I went to the house for a snack. So I'm sitting in my back porch enjoying the view and the munchies and I notice the air compressor was still running. It should have turned off by this time. So I walk over to check it and the pressure gage was already into the red over pressure numbers. I turned the switch off and found the problem. The switch handle moved freely n never clicked off nor to Auto. So I turned off the outlet switch that I have. Fortunately I had enough air to spray a second coat on the rest of the plane. Now I have a compressor fix before I can continuie. I sure will be glad to get this plane finished. It seems like now it wants to fight me to the end.

LOL. I think you are right. So this morning I check the switch n it is working again. I cleaned the contacts n cycled it a few time and all works again. I will have to keep my eye on it. I have a switched outlet that I use to cut all power to the compressor. I will make sure it is off when not in use.

The bad news is it is raining outside so I have to wait to finish this plane. Guess I will see about those fingerprint marks. Oh the life of a builder!!

That is why the switch started working it knew you couldn't spray in the rain!

Remember, just because you're paranoid it doesn't mean they are NOT out to get you!

I think they are out to get me, LOL. The Sun is out but the humidity is high. I dare not try that compressor today.

Well I got side tracked n finished a wooden iPad holder to make it a bit easier to read these forums. Now it is time to get some RC work done.

Hello. Finished this Kadet Senior yesterday. Low wing, taildragger. Saito .65, which I hope is enough. Next reasonably calm day I'll try it out.

This is my grandson, Brayden. Just starting out, with a Sig Kadet as his trainer. Can he be a part of this group? I think he would get a big kick out of it. Thanks!

All these planes look really good. I hope mine comes out at least half as good.

Tom I've never had a moisture problem with my setup. I do have a water trap built into the supply line. I open the drain occasionally. I do have one of those desiccant air dryers that I use. Sunday was a much more dryer y than today. The rain messed things up. I will wait for a better day to finish. I'm all set up for that spray day. I got most of my finger print marks off but If you look closely you can see some tiny marks.

The Saito .65 will be more than enough! That is what is in mine. I still have to order some parts for my Saito. Wore it out in the SR. But when in decent shape it will power the doggies out of the SR.

I just picked up an lt25 airframe at a swap meet for $20 for my daughter to learn on. I'll be putting a power 25 outrunner and a castle 54 amp esc in it to fly on 3 cell, should make a nice trainer for her.

By calling it an airframe, are you saying it was built-up? You can't beat that price. Your daughter should have fun with that.
