I just bought an old Sig Chipmunk r/c kit, the one with the ABS fuselage sides. The kit is missing the cowling and I was wondering if anyone might have a cowling around that is not beng used.

I tried Sig but they do not have any and looked at some of the websites of those that make fiberglass cowls but didn't see anything. Anyone have an idea?

Check the cowls sold as spares for ARFs, I've found quite a few cowls and canopies that suited kit and plan built models of the same size.

Also, you might want to check out Fiberglass specialities (i believe that's their name) . They advertise in AMA magazibe. They have everything from cowls to wheelpants for many kits and ATFs. You can also call then and they will find something close if they do't have an exact match. At least they did for me a couple of years ago.

I do as EF and JZ stated. Phone FGS and ask. On there web site under discontinued kits they may have the cowl listed or may not? When I phone and speak with them they usually have what I need or something that will work.
