Default Anyone recognize what brand this Cessna 182 is?

I just received this Cessna 182 and it appears to be a kit. It seems well built. I have looked it over and I can not figure out what company produced this plane. It has a 72 inch wing span and the control horns and rods are on the top of the wing for the ailerons. Any ideas or what to look for would be much appreciated.

Images are not viewable if you PM me I'll see if it looks familiar. What is the wingspan and length of the fuselage? The most common Cubs are:
Carl Goldberg Wingspan 76.5" Fuselage 48"

SIG 1/5 Scale Wingspan 84.5" Fuselage 55.25"

Great Planes Wingspan 76.5" Fuselage 49"

If it's a Top Flight it will have a 81" wingspan and a picture of the interior with the wings off will make it easy to determine.

I am sure it isn't a topflite kit. The wingspan is 72 inches. I forgot to measure the fuse length. I'll do that tonight. Are pictures not working on here currently or am I doing something wrong?

After looking through google all afternoon, (real slow day at work) I think I may have stumbled across some photos on RCCanada of a partial PICA 182 kit. Looks a heck of a lot like the one I got. Anyone have any info or a manual etc in pdf form they can share?

mnmopar,

Looks like you have a Pica 182. If the front window and the upper front part of the fuse is one piece plastic then it a Pica kit.
They did both their 1/6 and 1/5 scale kits that way. I built the 1/6 scale back in the 90's and it was a nice flying plane.
I used glue rather than screws to attach the front window/upper fuse plastic part, made for a better looking model.

After seeing the pictures i'll say it's Pica 1/6 scale C-182. If both fin and horizontal stabilizers are made from flat sheet then it's the dead giveaway as Pica C-182. I used to have this Cessna also, flew it once, flew great till I slowed it down to the point it tip stalled and crashed on final turn towards the runway from 50'.....

After checking it all out, it is definitely a Pica 1/6 scale kit. Does anyone have a copy or extra set of building instructions they wouldn't mind copying for me? There were some weird things done on the build. Good to know about the tendency to tip stall at slow speeds.

I think there was a review done the on 1/6 scale kit in Flying Models when the kit first came out.
Maybe late 70s or early 80s. I may have the plans and construction booklet but that stuff is in
storage.
