Default Combat Models F16 Pusher

Hello All
I hope I can get a good answer to this
Recently I got a old Combat Models F16 pusher kit that im building.
Question is they say it will fly with a YS 45 I’m thinking not a chance at high altitude
I’m at almost 7000 feet here and am wondering if a OS61 will do the job or if I should
Try and stuff a 90 in the rear. I’m not sure about the weight yet as for I’m only 75% done (If anybody knows the weight of this model finished RTF) I would appreciate it.
In general how much weight will a OS 61 fly with a 12x6 prop.
My other thought is put a Macs pipe on the 61
Thanks

If I had a nickel ...,

A piped .60 would be good, maybe a Webra, Rossi or Super Tigre. You want RPM's.

I had two of these, a Y/S 45 with a tuned pipe on one and a Y/s 60 with tuned pipe on the other and they both flew fine. I dont know about a 12 inch prop. A 9 or 10 inch prop didnt buy you much clearance.

Thanks for the response Eddie and Bigstew
I do realize I have to take in clearance with the prop. I may end up trying a 3 blade
Prop with more pitch. The engine I have for it is a OS61 I do have a pipe if needed their just kind of gawdie looking.
Bigstew you said you had flew this kit before do you remember how much it weighed RTF and was it a fast flyer.
Thanks again for your imput

I cant remember how much they weighed but they were less than 9 lbs i think. They one with the ys 60 with tuned pipe was clocked at 135 mph. I would definitely use the tuned pipe with the os 61 or I would think of getting one to the JETT engines. they are designed for flying something like this.
