Default Need help w/twin motor wiring

Hey guys,

I'm in the planning stage of doing a ov-10 Bronco. My 1st attempt for a multi-motor. I plan on using a 3s system. I know I need 2 esc's for the motors. I think I should use a Y from the rx to the esc's. I believe I should use 2 lipos for this setup. Is this considered a parallel circuit? Is there any other electrical hookup I should consider? Do I need a separate bec? Or will one in the esc be alright as long as it can handle the load? Should I just use one bec and disconnect the 2nd one from the 2nd esc? Last question, anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for this application? I know it's a lot of questions from a newbie. Any help will be appreciated.

Swear we already answered this?

Yes use 2 ESC's with one of the red wires removed from one of them.

2 batteries in parallel is fine, what you don't want to do is give each esc its own battery.
They should both draw power from a singe source.

Sorry for the repeat question. Thanks for your input. So 2 batteries in parallel going to 2 esc's sounds like a X hookup. Correct?

Someone sent me these wiring diagrams. What do you think about the twin battery hookups? http://2bfly.com/knowledgebase/elect...ne-esc-wiring/

The connections on the BECs depends on the brand. I contacted Castle Creations and they indicated you do not have to remove one red wire, the BEC power can be connected in parallel. This isn't true for all brands of ESCs however, do your homework first!

Curious why one wouldn't use a separate battery per ESC ?

Mainly because of RPM variances because of unequal voltages if the two batteries are not perfectly balanced and of matched cells.

Guess that makes sense on one level, but if the batts were balanced at each charge the voltage would remain pretty close on both, leaving only the internal resistance of each battery to vary the voltage. Couldn't be much of a difference though...although the only twin electric I have is a pusher/puller so it wouldn't matter much in this case. Thanks for the info!
