1/5 scale cub tire size ? help please
my math eludes me, i used to know how to scale stuff up and down,
but cannot remember,
if the Sig 1/5 cub is built as a bush plane with the ballon tires,
what size would the tires be?
the full size cubs fly 35 inch tires i believe,
thank you
john

35" tire is 2.916' so 2.916' x 12"/5' = 7" tires. Kinda roundabout but here is another example. 35' wingspan for 1/4 scale is 105" because 12"/1' x 1/4" is 3" and three is the 'multiplier' in inches per foot. 35' x 12"/1' x 1/4". The 'feet' 'cancel' and you are left with inches.
BTW... that's a BIG tire!
