My friend had all the parts that I needed. Yay! I forgot to mention that I mounted the elevator servos in the rear (won't do that again) and decided that taking the LG off every time to remove the wing was a PITA! So I put different gear on. It's not scale but it'll work. lol I balanced nose heavy for the maiden flight so we'll see how that works out. Only thing left to do is set the control throws and tune the engine and i'm good to go. I read about the DLE 20's running hot so I opened up the cowl more.

Maiden went great! Beautiful 68 deg day, couldn't be happier! I had to add some left aileron but other than that it flew straight. And it FLYS! Yay! I feel like the DLE 20 may be a little under power for the plane but it's still being broke in and should get better.
It feels nice to fly something that I built from plans, like all the time put into the build was worth every minute. Flying an ARF has never gave me this feeling.
If anyone is questioning themselves about doing a plans build for the first time, I say go for it! It's a great feeling when you finish and it flys.
Thanks everyone for your help!
Now on to the next build..

I just ordered a BUSA 1/4 scale Nieuport 17 kit. It will be my first biplane so i'm a little nervous..lol I've been doing a lot of research on the kit and it seems to be a good one. I have been reading some of the history on these planes and have picked out a color scheme. As far as I know it's British.
