Well I started to cove fuse tonight. Wow I don't think i got enough covering. I bought two 25' rolls and just used 16' on the fuse. Its ok i am just use to covering 60 size planes. Ha ha.
Thanks to some good advice from my sig brothers. This is the best cover job i have ever done. Still will take awhile to catch up to acdii.

Considering the fuse is done, and half the stab is done, I would say so. Hoping to have the other side done tonight, and get the elevator started. It's Crunch time! Well for me that is, only have 2 1/2 weeks left to get this airborne if I want to have it at the flyin, otherwise I have to do a rush job on the other planes to have them ready.

Well after many tries at an in cowl exhaust for the DA 100, I finally gave in and just ordered the stock ones for a DLE111 from TH. Guess I will have to cut up the cowl after all to make them work. Wanted an in cowl system, but could not find the correct flex pipes, the ones I did find were offset, one would work, and the third one I ordered that could work doesn't have enough flex in it to bend down 90*.

It's a plot! A vast anti-R/C conspiracy!

If I could find the materials easy enough I could make when I need. The flange is easy enough, I have metal, its the tubing I can't find.

Aircraft International sells all the parts should you need for building your own headers. MTW makes parts as well including the exhaust flanges to fit DA.

I once made a flex pipe out of some stainless steel tubing I took out of a discarded hot water tank my neighbor threw out. See if you can find a local plumber with one and see if the tubing might will work.

KS Custom Header Parts
I'll keep this one in mind for later. I can always get a spare cowl later on and make a customer exhaust when I have more time. Right now I want to have the plane flying by the end of the month, so ordered a pair of proper mufflers for the DA. They may look ugly sticking out the cowl, but better than not having them at all.

Well if we both get ours done in time and flown, then it will be a contest to who has the best looking one, and I think yours is going to win.

It will all come down to what they look like in the sun. Artificial light can hide a LOT.

LOL, its the same one used when we glue our fingers to the plane. It's just not appropriate for the forum(or children). I still have to finish the center section before I can even think about covering. Got both flaps done and hinged, still have the leading edges to do, but need to finish the ailerons so that I can get the contours correct. One aileron left to build.

The skin you lose when you glue your fingers to the airplane is just another way of leaving your personal touch!

My skin is too tough, I left wood on my fingers instead. It is difficult to unlock the phone though when you have CA on your thumb.
