Along those "interesting" lines, AND I CERTAINLY DON'T WANT THIS TO TURN INTO ANYTHING "UNTOWARD", SO PLEASE PM ME WITH ANY REPLIES SO WE DON'T CLOG UP THIS THREAD ... has anyone other than me had problems with RCU lately? I'm getting very slow responses to nearly all actions, have to sign in every time I go to a new thread, things like that.

Yep. Lots of database error pages, so it isn't you.
On topic now, I have a couple places I am going to get quotes on for Brotherhood shirts. So any inputs would be great. Mike if SIG want to be part of this, I am more than happy to work with you guys.

It was a beautiful flying day in Iowa City today and I took full advantage. Had the field all to myself so I just flew and flew and flew. The OS46SF on my 4Star needs a new ring really bad so I think I will swap it out for my brand new Saito 62, I will let you know how it turns out.

I finished my 4 star today, mind you I just started it today as well. It builds fast. It is out in the garage on the charger and hopefully the weather will be good enough for a maiden flight in the morning. Final weight with a 95AX is only 7 lb 7 oz. I never expected it to come out so light. At under 7 pounds my 65 would have been plenty. I was expecting it to be well over 8 pounds.

I wanted to mount my engine inverted. I was afraid that the unpressurized .61 might encounter problems.
Do you have any thoughts about this ?

Kudos to Bob for suggesting a 16x6 prop to slow the 4*120 down for landing. Worked wonderfully. I flew it with an APC 16x6 and had many good landings, first one I greased it in, the rest had some bounces, so going to recheck the CG. Maybe move it back a bit. I haven't flown the 4* for more than 7-8 minutes at a time, but today I flew through an entire tank and a half, which with the sipper DLE20 is a long time. My timer is 16 minutes and counts down, it counted to zero and change, and when I landed I still had a 1/4 tank left. I tried it with the XOAR 17x6 and I didn't like it though it REALLy slowed down for landing where I needed to keep power on all the way down, but on a vertical it pulled left, in fact its the first time I did a climbing knife edge. I switched back to the APC 16x6 and will fly with that one from now on.
I also changed out my 11x7.5 MA to an 11x6 MA after first trying an 11x5. The 11X5 lasted all of one circuit, very slow, landed it right away. The 11x6 made this plane even more enjoyable, it hangs in the sky, it moves nicely, it hovers just above a stall at a 45* attitude, really made the plane even more fun than it was before.
I still have an issue with the engine quitting though when the tank is down to under a 1/4 tank. It used to be at just below half tank it would quit, but after I raised the tank a bit it stays running past half tank, but still quits when it gets down to 1/4 or so. I have all new lines, the clunk sits properly, and it has pressure from the exhaust, so not sure yet why it quits. My last flight was a dead stick but she floated in nicely and touched down soft and smooth.
My two favorite planes that I take anywhere now are both SIG. Just great flying planes. After some more practice hovering with the two planes I will be ready to try out my 3D beast, the Extra 330L. Wondering if I should try out one of the SIG for the next step up before putting the big one up, suggestions? Im gathering up the things for when the T-Clips finally arrives. That one may get an Evolution 10 gas engine.

This Sr. twin had two FS 61's with straight pipes. One of the engines is now in the Sport.

The OS FS 61 runs fine without pressure, evidently the carb venturi is small enough that it creates good draw. And I think they sound cool unmuffled. If you like a muffler, those from an FS 40,48 will fit. maybe up to a 70.

If my .91 is too much, or I feel the need to transfer it to another model, I can now feel confident that the FS .61 will do the job, and keep my Kadet in the air.

I see the T-clips 70 on the SIG main page now. Getting closer to them coming in. I wonder of my Hacker C50-12XL will work in this plane, or if it will be too much power. It came out of a Funtana 90 which I will never fly after tearing the wings off multiple times in the sim. It has a 22" prop on it.

Um, 4*120, Wing, Me snappy, remember Believe me if it is possible to snap the wings off a Funtana 90, I will do it. I have heard from others who had one that they do tend to have wing failures. Since its an Electric setup, and batteries are quite expensive for the 6-8S packs, and if a wing does snap, the probability of a crash causing a pack to erupt is quite high, hence, I dont wish to find out. Now I do have a spare .91 FS laying around, so if I ever get bored I can always rip out the electric and toss in the glow. The one thing I dont care for is the dual elevator servo setup though.
