Hey Marty! Good luck with the maiden, but I know you won't have a problem - Kadets are simply too good a plane to give anyone a problem. Gotta tell ya, the idea of a foamie Kadet really gets the interest going. Hope you can get some pics.

My T-Clips is 3 miles from here, and I can't get to it. UPS won't deliver it until Monday.

Thanks, Dave. Looking forward to the maiden. I also have a 50% Hog Bipe that flies great and just finishing up the design for a 50% Astro Hog. Love those SIG planes.

I have been trying for a couple of days to download the SIG Catalog but it always craps out on me. Anyone had any luck with this?

Give it some time to load. The catalog is huge !

Sig is truly the last of the old time kit companies. Take some time to read the catalog. It's like a trip down Memory Lane.

I just down loaded it Marty with no problem . Amazing catalog with some planes and parts that I have never seen before on the web site .
Hopefully you can get it to work as I think you will enjoy what you see.

It goes through it's gyrations, and eventually dies with a server time-out. I have tried many times. I wish it was posted somewhere else for download. Probably too big for most email programs.

Download worked fine for me.

be sure your browser is up to date as well as what ever program your usieng to read the PDF (Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat, Foxit Reader, etc). If that is out of date the download may fail.

hth,
Bill S.

Thanks for the tips Bill.
I finally got the file this morning, only 5 tries today.
The 4th try loaded about 99% and died.

That's nice. I have been wanting to build one of those for some time now, just haven't got around to it. About
how much cash you got in that baby?

Probably not the right forum for this, but it is all SIG related. I have been searching for a local supply of cloth, Joanne Fabrics has a wedding dress liner but it is very fine weave compared to Koverall. I have not had luck finding anything else close. I can still buy the Koverall from SIG that averages $3.70 a yard. That's cheaper than the local cloth @ $4.99 a yard(not including shipping). I worried about the fine weave not soaking up Dope. Thoughts appreciated.

Hey Rob! Sure, it's the right forum - no problem at all for me anyway. I've been in your boat several times in the past few years - looking for fabrics that'll work. Just doesn't seem to matter one way or another, I always default to koverall eventually. Last couple times I got any, I got 2 of the 5-yd packs. One of them's still unopened, a year later.

Know the Joanne dress liner fairly well - tried it on my latest C/L Skylark ... it wrinkled with the nitrate dope as it dried. Sheesh! Ended up using my old tried & true silkspan, which is what most of my C/L planes are covered with. Silkspan works super well for C/L but I'd never use it on RC.

I can still buy the Koverall from SIG that averages $3.70 a yard. That's cheaper than the local cloth @ $4.99 a yard(not including shipping). I worried about the fine weave not soaking up Dope. Thoughts appreciated.
A good rule of thumb I use is. If you wanna dress go to Joanns. If you wanna cover an airplane use Koverall.

New to the sport here. Still buddy boxing on my Apprentice, but I picked up my SIG Kadet Senior Sport ARF on Sunday and have it about half assembled. Have a Saito FG-17 Gasser to put in it. Have to figure out the wing struts, but hope to have it gone over and maidened by my Instructor over the weekend. Sign me up please!!
