I'm wondering if I can fit my 4*120, LT-40, and Twin Otter in the MKT while still having room for a passenger. Would make for a nice trip, since it's only 4 hours away.

I can bring my 4 Star 54 and both my 4 Star 20s. Its only 2 hours for me.

FYI ... notice we've gone to the 3 day format that is so popular nowadays. Friday and Saturday are the big days. Sunday is basically a "going home" day. Last year virtually everyone was headed home by noon Sunday.

Of course this is always weather related.

Of course if the T-Clips comes in before then with enough time to assemble and maiden, you can bet that would be loaded in too. 91 powered T-clips? I no need no stinkin runway!

Geez Bob, sounds like that plane was definitely on borrowed time. I hate to have to admit it but, what's a Bugatti look like? Not sure I've ever seen one.

"one more maneuver" - yeah, some of us learned, a long time ago, that THAT line's to be ignored at all costs. I won't even THINK it when I'm out flying - and, as a result, I haven't lost a plane due to radio problems, brain-farts, etc., in over 20 years.

It's a twin engine, counter rotating drive system, designed to be FAST. Has a pretty interesting History, and had the Nazi's got their hands on it, could have made the war much more difficult. Bob can tell you a lot more about the plane and its history.

Considering the problems counter roating props ran into during the war years it might have cut into the piloting staff. Remember Howard Hughes's infamous Beverly Hills crash? It wa the counter roating props that almost got him killed. The impact knocked his heart to the right side of his chest!

I dont think the props are what makes it fast, the planes overall design is what makes it fast, and what they were trying to keep from the Nazi's. The engines are small, which is probably why it has two of them. Bob may have more knowledge on this, he knows the engines pretty well.

Gorgeous!!!!!!! When I first saw it I kinda thought it bore a fleeting resemblance to the DO-335, but this is no "fighter" aircraft - it's a work of art! Of course, that's why Bugatti built it, I guess. I looked it up online and found that they're actually recreating one - if she flies she'll be beautiful in the air. Shoot, she's beautiful on the ground.

Have you been able to look at the firewall set up on the TClips? I have a YS that I was considering putting in one. I just can't get excited about the electric set up - a 90 - 2c is a big engine for a 60" 5lb plane

Its a 91 FS Magnum. I think the plane is rated a .70 FS. I dont do 2 stroke screamers, I like the putt putt of the 4 strokes. With the torque of the 4 it should pull nicely on verticals.

I have been lucky enough to watch Bob fly the Bugatti. Beautiful plane , I thought would be difficult to fly but he said it handles like a pattern plane.
Regarding the TClips, I would think a 70 four stroke would be Plenty of power for a 5 LB plane. I have flown several planes in the 5 LB range with just a 52 four stroke and had "sufficient" power.

I havent seen the specs on it yet, since all I saw was the prototype they had at the show, but if the actual ARF is as good as the prototype it will be an exceptional plane. I have many choices of power that I can use, from a Power25 Eflite setup to a Saito 100 4Stroke. I might put the 91 on the Cub and use the 70 instead. A 91 on a Clipped wing Cub would be a stunt performer for sure. I would prop it for power, not speed, hang it off its prop!

Yeah, we think alike on the 4s ... With. The exception of the K&B sportster 20 on the goldberg Eaglet .

Yeah, I think I will use the OS .70 FS on it instead of the Magnum .91. Just slightly more power than a .61, and not obnoxious over power like the .91 would be.

OTOH I do have a Hacker C50 Acro 12XL with 90 Amp ESC, which I believe would have plenty of power for it.

Or since it will be another 4 months before I see it, get an Evolution 10CC Gas engine for it and have 1 hour flight times. Save my Magnums for the A-26 or A-20 that I may build.

Hey Mike! I love that new T-Clips 70EG - positively beautiful. It just might have the honor, later this year, of becoming my very first ARF - and if it did, it would almost have to have a OS FS62V or Magnum XL70RFS powering her. Definitely not ready to go electric yet.

If you havent seen it up close, be prepared. It has the most perfect covering job I have ever seen on an ARF. Especially the tail. All I can hope for is that the production ones are as nicely covered.

Hi Mike, just curious, how many pre-sales have you guys had on the T-Clips 70? Did it go as well as expected at the show? How long before it will be until it is shown on your web site?

Here is something funny. When I was at the show I bought a P-61 full kit from one of the vendors there, and last Monday the 14th, I ordered the Ziroli plans for it and the B-25. Guess what arrived first(hint, I have not seen the kit yet).
