Well guys, I picked up a huge HUGE HUGE piece of news from Sig in Toledo, and trust me when I say that that it's actually one of the most exciting pieces of news that I have heard in the last couple of years years from any manufacturers. But in talking with Mike Gretz he's asked that I hold of on passing on the news until Sig gets a few more things in order before and have thing better lined out. I BEGGED Mike to let me share it the brotherhood here but he wouldn't bend and is holding me to confidence and is making me keep the secret. So, later on this year we'll have some really exciting news to announce from Sig. So just keep watching here for the announcement.

It's not nice to tease us Ken.
Also, I'm sure some of us can find 'ways of making you talk', you know.......

Yup! Skyrat can send you a whole yard-full of caribou, I can send you a yard-full of buffalo & my self-proclaimed redneck son-in-law (now, that's something I'd heed if it were passed my way) for the summer.

Seriously, I can't wait, but I'm not about to hold my breath - - I just don't look all that good in purple.

Actually, I'm kinda hoping it might be a couple certain kits coming back into production again. There are a couple discontinueds that I'd love to fly again.

I just got home from an awesome evening of flying the Kadet Sr Sport - Mine is a bit over powered, with an E-flite Power 60 in the cowl and a 6S LiPo, but it flies great!

I've been an un-official SIG Brother for quite some time, but I believe it's time to get on the list! Looks like I'll make #100!!!

Easter Sunday, weather was perfect, nothing special was planned, so wouldn't you know it, faithful old clipwing and I found our way to the beach at low tide. It was really a great day and a great spot for flying. My equally faithful, ever patient and extremely talented betterhalf took all the pictures

Here is something funny. When I was at the show I bought a P-61 full kit from one of the vendors there, and last Monday the 14th, I ordered the Ziroli plans for it and the B-25. Guess what arrived first(hint, I have not seen the kit yet).
Advance orders for the T-CLIPS 70 and the new SOMETHIN EXTRA ARF far exceeded our expectations. This just increased our own excitement about these two new products after seeing how eager our customers are to get their hands on them. I'm working on them now guys, six days a week, finishing up last minute production details and coming up with ads, labels, and instruction manuals.

Sometimes this "dream job" really gets in the way of my R/C flying!

Please add me to the Sig brotherhood. I have owned several great sig models in the past. Currently our household has a few with hopes for more.

Thanks,

Awesome Mike!

I wanted to fly yesterday, have all my stuff ready to go, but the dreaded south wind was blowing. Any other direction and I would fly, its just that when the wind comes from the south, at either of the fields I fly, it make things difficult too much to enjoy it. The one has a larger barn that creates vortices, and bad turbulence, the other has a gravel pit behind us, which is south. So instead I spent the day putting a VCT floor in my new trailer. Temps were very good for it, but that damned wind kept blowing dead leaves inside the trailer and getting stuck to the adhesive.

Tomorrow calls for NNW at 15MPH. Going to bring my planes and stuff and see how much its blowing in the evening, and if not too bad, will be my first flying of the year. (keeping fingers crossed). First up will be my LT40, and if it doesn't get tossed around too bad, will put the 4*120 up. Since that plane loves to hang in the air when landing, flying it first would not be a problem, LANDING it would be. 15 MPH is about tops I would fly in, only because fighting the wind is not fun and detracts from the experience.

I can see a T-clips in my future. I would put either my 55 in it or one of my 61's.

Understood about "technologically challenged" - I'm probably pres of that council.

Hey, today was a whole lot better than yesterday (didn't have a house-full of people interferring with flying plans). I took the SIG Kadet, Goldberg Eagle-II and CraftAir Butterfly (yeah, an original) out for the afternoon and everything was absolutely perfect. Each plane got at least 3 flights (Kadet got 6-7, really not sure - I just have huge fun flying her) and on their last flight I timed each of them from full to dry tank - and freaked myself out. Butterfly (4 oz tank, running a OS26FS 4-stroke) ran 67 minutes (not unusual with this plane) - 76 before she touched down (great thermals today). Eagle-II (12 oz tank, OS46FX) ran 38 minutes, Kadet (12 oz tank, OS40LA) ran 46 minutes (obviously gets better mileage than the 46FX). Needless to say, none of the planes spent much time with the throttle above 1/3, most of the time the throttles weren't all that much above idle. Slow, somewhat boring flights, but HUGE time-to-empty results. Didn't think 2-stroke engines could turn in those kinds of time.

Pretty cool day, even if our mountains aren't as fabulous as yours - (pic - Eagle-II)
