Need to repair-recover wing leading edge. Fabric & Paint
I just bought a giant hots with damage to one wing half leading edge. I don't have a problem with the balsa repair and have done it for 30 years, but I've never tried any fabric and paint( always monokote or ultracote). Is there anyone out there with fabric/paint experience who would be willing to repair and repaint to match, for a price of course. I just don't know enough about fabric and paint/dope to even know what method it's covered in.
Thanks
Thanks

This ain't that big of a deal. Take some Solartex and iron it on. Looks like fabric, acts like fabric. Go to
O Reilly auto parts have them eyeball the paint and match it. They will sell you 1/2 pint real cheap. Get you
a foam brush and go to it. I believe with your experience you will be able to pull it off. If it a gas engine
go to Lowes and get Latex paint. If glow get acrylic enamel.

Thanks cubcrasher, I might try that. The plane will have a 3W 60 gas engine in the nose, so I will could with the latex. If I go to O reilly, what paint type do I ask for there?
