Hey There,
I'm suscribed and certainly want to be part of this brotherhood. Started out with a Taube 40 (mod'd to Rumpler), currently have a Taube 90 which I will also modify, Stingray 120 - for a engine testbed, and a Citabria Pro.
Would love a 1\4 D-VIII for my Honda GX31. I did skip ahead, so if #13 is unused, it's my lucky #.

While I very much appreciate your consideration, I am not sure I would be able to do the thread justice. This is/was a great idea though, and am kind of surprised it had not been started earlier. I am sure a deserving individual will step forward.

Another really cool item BUSA sells. A new 23 x 8 scale Axial prop showed up today.

Vertical,Grimmace, I believe this engine detail was yours from a Magazine or thread. I used it as a guide to build my Mercedes for my 1/4 scale D-VII. But it was not BUSA.

Yes, that pic was taken at the Warbirds over the Rockies. That engine is from the Proctor DVII kit. Tons of work, but it builds into a nice representation.

Default Balsa USA

Oooh - can I join? I have built several BUSA kits over the years: Stingray 120, Phaeton bipe, Enforcer, Force One. Next will be an Excalibur and a friend here at the club is going to be building a Smoothie at the same time.
Regards,
Jim

Have to admit that this thread has brought out some very nice looking BUSA models. Congrats to the builders.

OK, now I have to join. I'm a sucker for these "brotherhood" threads. Besides, I need some motivation to finish my 1/3 scale Cub I bought when they first came out - seems like decades ago. I've got the left wing built and the tail feathers. Landing gear is done (sort of - I'm hideous at silver soldering). If I ever get this behemoth finished I will power it with either a Kavan FK-50, version 3, or an OS-300 twin. I have both sitting on the shelf. The OS is probably a little friendlier.

If I ever get this bugger done, I'm going to get that beautiful 1/3 Fokker DVII!

Has anyone heard of any future releases from BUSA? A 1/4 scale Albatros like someone mentioned earlier would be great. Wouldn't mind seeing a 1/4 scale Sopwith Camel either.

Your wish is their command. I just got back from covering the Toledo Show and the 1/4 scale Camel is their next project up. So you will get your wish!!!

Welcome new brothers, list above edited.

I have to agree this collection of BUSA kits looks great, you guys in the states will have to do a fly in together.

I have the 1/4 D7 still in the box, I reckon a 1/6 D7 would be good too, a Albi in 1/6 and 1/4 would sell well I think.
BUSA kits are a bit dear here, they are double the price you pay in the USA, I'm jealous of what you can buy them for.

Back to 1987. BUSA 1/3 scale Flybaby. Quadra 35, Kraft radio, 35lbs. The Quadra barely had the power to get it off the ground. Flew on the wing. Had to turn with rudder as ailerons were not effective.

Hey guys, I have edited the list to show where all you guys are from in the states, I'm not sure where they all are in relation to one another, but perhaps a BUSA fly day could eventuate?
Maybe someone from BUSA would like to come?

You are very lucky, it will be released in fall. 1/4 scale:-)

We should start a campaign asking Balsa USA for a 1/4 scale Albatross:-)
