I'm just about to start building my Balsa USA 1/4 Nieuport 28 again. I took about 8 months off during the building process as my workshop (AKA Garage) has no air conditioning and it get 110+ degrees in there over the summer months.

This is my first Balsa USA Build and have found it to be fun kit.

Built this one as an electric powered model.

Wow! Great detail work. Looks great. That is a good flying airplane.

Are you by chance gonna be at the Gunsmoke Scale masters qualifier in March?

The 'bones' and accessories look great! It's not too late to get the stab-elevator hinge line moved forward to a more accurate scale position.

I will be at the Gunsmoke event, but just taking photos as I usually do. I doubt this one will be done, but you never know. Gunsmoke is one of the most fun events at AZ Model Aviators (My Home Field).

Sundevil, some good pics from 2013 Gunsmoke, you got some great shots of my BUSA L-4.
Salute to Veterans at Miramar R/C Flyers today on Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, and had the L-4 out for that today too.

Not a Camel... right side of the front though. Spad 13, one of my all time favorites.

Yes, I was there. My club puts it on, and I was running around with a neon yellow t-shirt on, flying the DH-4 and one of the 1/3 scale D-8's.

I have a DLE 55 in mine. IMO the 30 would be way too small. I have a 35 in my DR1 tripe, and find it perfect. I fly at 5200', though, so your milage may vary.

I got to spend some quality time with my Pup this past week... almost ready to attach the center section top wing, although I think I'm going to get SOME of the lower section covering done first... I can't imagine this would be fun with the center section already glued in place (and yes, I have decided to rip out the rib stitching and start over.... after I realized I'd left out the 'bottom' strip, it just wouldn't look right.)

Jim,
Sorry that I have had time to say hi lately. Things have been totally crazy for me with far east hacker inviting my me upgrade some of my servers (had to reinstall and upgrade 2 firewalls, a web server, and a mail server) the last few weeks and dealing with our family dog almost dying. It's been quite eventful. Anyway, the pup is really looking great there. Have you made any more progress on the covering?? Are you still planing on doing the truly authentic covering for the plane like the original plane was done??

Ken
