Ok, Okla City, you are added to the list, #118. Welcome, please post some pictures of your planes. I have may have met you somewhere at one of the events around Oklahoma, I am terrible with remembering names.

It would be helpful for me if all BUSA Brothers would post their BUSA Brotherhood number in their signature. If I have missed anyone please let me know.

PT19, Do you have the kit to build or did you get one already built? If you are going to build it this winter, you may want to do a construction thread. In addition to reading the forum build threads, you would receive helpful ideas and advice from others who had built the Pup. As one of the guidelines to the Brotherhood, We request you to post pictures of you BUSA airplanes, complete or under construction. So if and when the start your build post a picture.
I have the 1/4 scale Pup, powered with a very old Zenoah 23, and is on its 6th flyin season. It is an outstanding flyer and still looks pretty good. If have any questions, you can ask them on the forum thread. Here are a coup pictures of my Pup.

Welcome to the Brotherhood, there many members who always ready to help with advice and ideas.
It would be helpful for me if all BUSA Brothers would post their BUSA Brotherhood number in their signature. If I have missed anyone please let me know.

I too have a BUSA Fokker Dr-1 kit waiting to build, 1/4 scale. Hope to get started soon, still keeping my fleet of planes flying. Here in Oklahoma the flyin' season slows down in mid November, but we do get some good flyin' days during the winter. I am a builder, love to build. I understand Lance.

There are times I wish we had a winter season for building I'd actually get stuff done. Then I remember the winters growing up in N.Y. and come to my senses.

I posted last week about getting a 1/4 Sopwith Pup and a G26 to go with it boy did I mess up. Got it home and found out it is box 1 Balsa USA said the 1/4 kit only has one box. Now I have half of a 1/3 kit with a G26 . I was assured it was 1/4 scale all the air came out of sails when I found this out. Am going to try get mommy to let me order the 1/4 one . Does anyone need box one of the 1/3 one?

you are probably missing the cowl and some other big parts....

It seems strange they had a G26 with it.. are you sure it isn't a G62?

Hi guys,
I am looking for some advise . I am setting up the cabanes on my BUSA 1/4 scale Fokker DVII and had an idea. What if i use the wire cabanes to supply power to a reciever in the top wing to fire the servos. One side would be positive and one side negative. This would solve two problems, 1) it would hide the servo wires and 2) would make for easy set up at the field as I wouldn't have to remove hatchs to attach servo wires. I would use "A" cabane as it is acessable from the engine compartment and solder a lug to the 1/8 collar there.
My concern would be the resistance of the heavy cabane wire and using the wing bolt to transfer power to the wing. Also could i cause any interferance to either reciever?
Has anyone seen this done before and what problems do you think this would create?
Thank you

It's been done but some have used a second receiver which is simpler IMO. You can bind two receivers to the same model.

I've used a second Rx in the top wing but went an extra step and included a battery there as well, easy to hide a switch and charge port and no worries about the bolt/current link failing. You don't need a huge batt, you're just powering a Rx and a couple of servos. A 6v Eneloop 800ma pack is tiny and adequate.
