NTM Prop Drive Series 3548 900kv with a 4S, 4000 mah pack is going in mine.
Stinson 108 Voyager has the most beautiful tail ever put on an aircraft, just doesn't go on this Kadet. I think you can make a lot of 30's & 40's planes out of a Kadet, but mine will be a trainer first and foremost.

Nooooo, not the 108; the 105. That tail fin in your Pic is crazy. Mine will not be that radical. The idea is to make it look like something other then a Kadet trainer.

Rich, I like the Coastal Patrol emblems in your picture. I had the emblems and numbers for this airplane made by Gary over at Decal-it for my SIG Cub a long with full set of marking for a CAP Cessna 182. Mine has a better looking color, Bright Yellow.

You won't be overwhelmed with Electric Mods from me Tom. The only thing that I see that might be beneficial to others is, location of the components to achieve balance with a lighter motor, and changing the shape of the tail to keep it from looking like a Kadet trainer .

While building my larger electict planes i add some extra length to my battery tray so i can slide it back or to the front to get the correct CG . I also wait till i balance my plane and use a extra battery to power my reciever and servos and place it to help my CG out. A esc failure most times never happens but its nice to know you will still have control if it does . My plane died at around 100 ft up and i had full control back to the water . Did not look very pretty but like they say if you can walk away it was great. lol joe

OK, thanks. I built the stab and elevator today, but I got the "Blue screen of death" on my computer last night so I'm working on that mostly.

I started out as a carpenter for 20 years and most people try and fix their computers or have others$ try to fix it . I try a few things to fix it but after the agrivation sets in i revert back to my old carpenter days and beat it to a pulp with a 26 ounce framing hammer . Oh ! it does not fix a thing but at least i feel so much better when going to buy a new one. joe

Hey if the Apollo moon astronauts could hammer a reticent camera live in front of the whole world, why not you. But where was the five pound sledge?

Ken

I hope no photos were harmed in this unscheduled deconstruction

My preference would be a 12 gauge shooting slugs, but that tends to bring the cops out, with frowns on their faces.

Now Joe that's funny, I have some neighbors like that, as a matter a fact the whole neighborhood is like that, know one wants to be seen or be friends, suits me.

Ha Ha i have lived here for going on 12 years and the neighbor hood has changed for the worse . I watch out for a very nice older retired lady in her late 80s and her home across the street and tallk to her once in a while but thats it and no one else . OH! they see me and sighns like beware of dogs and owner ,lol My front porch gate has a sighn that says ( Due to the price of ammo there will not be a warning shot ) lol Keeps the neighbors ,salesmen and the church nuts away . :-)

Sig says that they will not have cowls until April. And so; I ordered one from Fiberglass Specialties. They have a different cowl for the ARF, and a "Extended" cowl for the Kit, to accommodate the longer 4 stroke engines.

I have not delt with Sig for a very long time . It was still being run by Hazel Sig witch i had met her in person a couple times at our club cub only flyins . How do you guys think SIG is doing now after the new owners have had it for over a couple years now?

Sig's new owners seem to be continuing the Sig legacy. I've had nothing but good dealings with the company since they took over.

My Kadet Senior kit was manufactured to the same standards as my older Spacewalker and Spawalker II kits.

Go to the main page and clink on "Aircraft" then look just below it to see the link to kits above ARFs.

Hi Tom: Well my surgery is behind me, and I am ready to start gluing sticks. Can you give me the dimensions that you made your ailerons, and tell me at what rib you located your aileron servo?

Thank you.

Ed
