Building a scale 1/4 scale Super Cub from Balsa J3 kit
#728
It was idle chit-chat (chewing that fat) while waiting for more progress reports from the build.
If you recall Leroy, you were whining about not enough diversity in your viewers, and you had gone quit over the holidays, and then your cleansing and illness... you were quit for sometime, when you popped in and made a statement to the effect of, you were glad to see the thread being used, since you were indisposed and there wasn't any others interested in your build, or something to that effect... I'm not going to bother searching through the thread for the exact post... but this is what happens during idle times, when the original author is away.
If you feel that our chit chat was out of line, then by all means say something... contact a moderator or admin with the offending post#'s and have them removed... by all means clean up the thread.
Don't worry so much so about the number followers in the thread... "build it, and they will come" , the ones that are interested in that type of build will... if they are few and far between, then log the build for any and all who want to view and participate.
Leroy, enjoy the rest of your build mate.

Those tips look very strong and accurate. I don't know how the full scale is done but before covering you may want to see if the fabric has a droop coming off the straight line. Black arrows in pic is where I'm talking about. Just a thought.

Leroy,
Your wings look crisp and clean
Question regarding the flying struts.
Has anyone devised a quick disconnect/reconnect? What is entailed concerning them with field assembly.
The Gilmore has optional flying wires. Not sure if I will add them if upfit Is a pain in the rear.

Well, in business for myself I learned real quick to see what is wrong. And I know you always understand what I say and what I mean. Plus, you just happen to be a very fine modeler to boot. Makes being a part of your thread that much more enjoyable!!! Thank you, keep at it.

Leroy, Great idea on the lift strut kit. It looks like good quality stuff, and should save some building time. I'm doing a Premier 1/4 scale J-3 - think I'll order a set for it. John R.
