Well guys I will go to RCG just to see how it goes,Leroy was vary good to me. but will not make a comment good or bad. I gave up on competition along time ago I build for my self and if others like it good for them, if not it is there problem.
But I am just a cranky old f@#t/pita so to speek.

I learned to say AYE? Living so close to the Canadian border in Vermont. AYE? Perhaps I'll go up and see Dennis one day. Love to meet our bro's up there. Guess it depends on which end he lives on!

The thing about competition is to use it as a bench mark of how you finish in comparison to the last time you competed. In a way you’re competing with yourself. I say this because you will be competing against many of the same fellows every time. The competition group numbers are small but pretty consistent.

If you only consider winning as the benchmark then your in for an awful lot of disappointment. Most of the guys I grew to like all competed for fun not taking each other too seriously. We all just shared a love of scale planes and watching them fly in a scale like manner.

It is sad to watch a fellow who has gone to the effort fine detail and scale finish end up with a static score no better than a model with very little detail and lacking scale finish like rivets or rib stitching. It totally depends on what class you enter and the judging parameters.

I live in Windsor Ontario right across from Detroit your welcome any time bring a plane fly at both clubs I belong to your insurance AMA is good up here the Reciprocal Agreement and all. If you don’t bring a plane I have a few if you don’t mind getting checked out on the buddy box first. Hanger Nine Pawnee with an OS .91 is one I let others fly.

I’ll even take a day or two off when you show up after all I can phone in and tell them my hamster died eh!!!!!!!!!

What the hell happened here? I didn't log in for a few days and I return and all of Leroy's posts are gone and it's shut down. It's a shame. Especially since one of the complaints on this thread were about building being a lost art, more or less. How are the new builders supposed to learn if your skin is that thin?

Is Leroy also posting this build on RCG?

Petulant child could not be the center of attention so he took his ball and went home.

Dennis, it seems that Leroy was not able to tolerate off subject discussions on his build blog. It is too bad as I consider him a worthy modeler. He is on RCG now and from what I hear, they are worse than us! Well, I wish him the best. There is a lot of discussion on the Cub brotherhood site if you would like to join us. We welcome all with an interest in cubs and 'some' off subject discussion is tolerated. Most of the 'airplane specific' sites like to center around that plane though. I don't know that Leroy will surface any time soon, till he gets the 'mud' off of his face! Might surprise us though. Please come on over and visit us. I enjoyed what little time you were here.

I checked it out hes complaining about participation over there as well. Even closed it down then re-opened it once. Seems to need an awful lot of ego stroking to keep him going. Lota Atta Boy Leroys and Your a real master builder Leroy. A little to thick for my taste.
