Default question about type of covering I have?

Ok guys I got a bunch of rolls of covering from a wife of a guy that past away. I am building my first plane he had 2 rolls of white which I am using one is monotone it's says so around the edge. The other says nothing but it has a paper backing not clear like the monotone. I used them both they were partial rolls. But I really like the paper backed one better. So does anyone know what brand the paper backed one is?

The first stuff that you called "monotone" is likely "Mono Kote". Or was monotone a joke? Some of those who don't like Mono Kote call it "Mono Crap". The second stuff with the paper backing is likely "Ultracote". In general, the Mono Kote is a higher temp covering and is said by some to be more difficult to work with and shrink up. The Ultracote applys and shrinks up at a lower temp and is said by some to be easier to work with. Opinions on which covering is best is just that, an opinion. For what it's worth, I started with Mono Kote but have switched my preference to Ultracote. It's like Fords or Chevys, some swear by them and some swear at them!
