Hello,

Looking to purchase a fiberglass cowl for my newly acquired Midwest Super Stinker, and am wondering if anyone knows if the "Pitts cowl" from Fibertech N More (formerly Stan's Fibertech) is the one I need. Here is a link to the page where I found it:

I emailed Fibertech N More to ask them directly, but unfortunately they did not know the answer. Their reply was:


"I can't say for sure. I dont have the history on it as it came with the buisness when I purchased it years ago."

Does anyone know if this is the cowl I need, or is there another one available somewhere else? Tried Fiberglass Specialties but the only item they have listed for the kit are the wheel pants.

Fiberglass Specialties lists the Super Stinker wheel pants and they have a Pitts cowl listed. http://www.fiberglassspecialtiesinc.com/catalog.htm

You may want to inquire if the cowl fits the SS.

Thank you Tom, I emailed F/G Specialties to see what they have that will fit. Doing some digging around last night, found that Midwest also used to manufacture a Pitts Special kit. Looking at photos of the SS, the cowl looks different than the one listed at Fibertech N More. The SS has a lip at the lower rear edge with the Special doesn't have.

Heard back from Fiberglass Specialties, they no longer carry one for the SS. Just an FYI!
