Simplified Sig 1/4 scale Clipped Wing Cub build

Yes, sorry, I didn't notice the 4-40 rod size till after I posted. I haven't seen any of those clips in 4-40 size, which is a shame because they are so convenient and make a very free-moving linkage.
I once read that a simple U bend is as safe as a Z bend and works better, but I have not tried it.

Ragwing Fan: That's a real nice plane, Thanks for the compliment, My plane is coming along well, but i'm a bit behind on my posts.
Tom: I have never had a failure with these, but I agree that clevises maybe the way to go after I get everything set up. I use the spring clip backs and Locktite on EZ connectors. Your friend may have been using the plastic backs and no Locktite which may have lead to a failure, I still agree with you that clevises are a better solution though.

I like the connector that Jim posted, above. I use them often in 60 size, and smaller, models. I've seen them in 4-40, but I can't remember where.

My latest weight and balance check. i'm nose heavy so the battery will provide final balance. the weight according to my latest info should be around 11.5 pounds. I think; at that weight, we should get good performance with the ASP .61.
