I can't wait to see some of you guys start building these. The combination of the height the wing is off the ground, and the wingspan makes this plane seem like a full scale light craft. I bet there will be more than one guy that gasps when they roll out the plans ! hahahahaha

I would think 4" wheels would be way to small. I was lucky enough to buy 2 sets of sky light Sullivan wheels at a flea market for $10 a pair. One pair was 6" and the other was 7", brand new never used. I am not going to over power mine, I brought a OS Pegasus for mine. If you go onto Sig face book page go back to around May 30 they built a new 168 Rascal with a 60cc gas engine. You really need to see this plane in person to see how big it really is. There is a few videos on you tube with Mike Scott explaining and flying the Rascal. Hope that helps Frank99.

Has anyone heard anything yet? I thought they would have started shipping by now. I got impatient and started another plane build, a Ziroli B-25. I couldn't stand seeing my benches empty of bones.

I was thinking of using a RimFire 65cc electric motor, a Castle 160 HV esc, and 12S Lipos 6000 maH. Maybe a Wolverine switch with a couple of dual-redundant 6.6 volt LiFe's to power servo's and receiver. Servos? Not sure.
My trailer is 10' 5" long ... and the Rascal 168 is 120" (10 ft) long ... so it barely fits length-wise. But how wide is this thing? I'm guessing the horizontal stab is the widest part.
How much is shipping from Montezuma, Iowa to Kentucky?

I got the message today that they are ready to ship mine. Paid the balance of the bill and they only charge $25.00 for shipping.
I live in Canada, but having it shipped to a Washington State address.
When I bring it across the border, I'll have to pay 7% taxes on the price converted to Canadian....near enough to $1200.00

I save the time by not waiting for the package to go through customs.
I don't have to get a broker involved...$$$$. I pick up the parcel, go through the border, pay my taxes and on my way.(model aircraft stuff is duty-free)
Cross border fees by UPS, FED-EX etc. are horrendous and the fewer times the package is handled the less chance of damage. It's WAAY cheaper to ship to Wa. State than to Canada.
Plus I live close to the border so it's easy for me to zip down there and back.
