Update! I accomplished a little more in the little time I had. Here ya go!
Before shaping the first one I used it to mark and sand the airfoil into the second one.
Here are the two side by side, the first one (right) shaped per the plans.
Now permanently glued in place and sheeting sanded to shape. For some reason the 1/4 x 3/8 angled LE just does not look right to me. Should it be the full width of the rest of the leading edge and then tapered appropriately? (See the last photo, end of the full length LE)

That previous post was from yesterday. Now for tonight's update:
So I'm not understanding something here. If you'll look at the TE view you'll notice a couple red ellipses. See that line on the front spar and rear spar? That is the angle that came off the plans. How do I possibly keep the same angle all the way from the LE to the TE??? What am I missing? I wished they had a good end view on the plans!

Okay, from those pictures it looks like, instead of the angle being constant, the tip thickness is constant. You are correct Flyer, well, it's just over 1/2" thick at the thickest point, it's 3/4".
I have the afternoon off today so I'll see what I can get done... after the yard work... DOH!

I was in Phoenix last month. My son has a yard, but the condo that we stayed at had the pebbles you refer to. I guess that you do have to rake the pebbles once in a while. LOL

Okay Crump, I see you online Take a look at these. This is how it has to be, right? (Not necessarily finished yet!)
Oh, and speaking of weather Tom, it is a beautiful day today! Good for yard work, bike riding, flying, building outside, you name it! It's nice to be out in my T-shirt!

Enough talk about weather, yards, AC... I got a build going on here!
Take a look at these? Did I do good? Huh? Did I? There are some touch up things to be done later, but it is done enough for now.
Time to put things aside and get ready for flying tomorrow. Hopefully this beautiful weather holds and it won't be socked in with fog!
Take care,
David

Well thank you Kevin! By the way, long time no see... er... I mean... You know what I mean!!! I lost track of your last build since things went south on me. I'm going to have to go back and take a look at her.

I'm a visual type of person. An end view drawing of that would have done me wonders!
Don't know if I'll get much done tomorrow. Got my Sbach and gear packed up, gas mixed, ready for a good day of flying!

I must admit that I don't fully understand your dilemma. That's why I haven't suggested an answer. If it were me, I'd glue on the parts, and carve away everything that didn't look like it belongs.
The pics posted in post #63 look pretty good, but I'd let somebody else provide a more enlightened response.
It snowed, here, today.

Time to get back to mine. Working on the right wing tip now. Should go a LOT quicker!

Almost finished the other wing tip today. I went a LOT faster this time! I had to stop due to having a kick-off dinner and rehearsal for the West Coast Mennonite Men's Chorus. So much fun! But not with the beginnings of a cold, my throat is wrecked!
I'll finish it up tomorrow.

My PC seems to do things without me. At the time of your post, I was out to dinner, with friends. I don't know why Skype showed that I was online. LOL

I as well didn't understand your problem David, so no response from this end as well... I hope that you feel better soon! A lot of people here are getting that norovirus

I still consider myself somewhat of a greenhorn. I strive toward y'all's perfection. By the way, it isn't norovirus, just a common cold; throat and bronchial irritation, moving up to my head now with sneezing, runny nose... that sort of thing. When you love to sing, something like this can be a real bummer to say the least!
