great planes slowpoke where are you?
Hi, I'm looking for a Great Planes Slowpoke 40. Tower says it's back ordered, due in April, but Great Planes the manufacturer has it listed as discontinued. Who do I believe? Anyone know a shop that still has one for sale? Thanks.

Hay Buddy,
I have built two kits...one with a standard tail, and one with a "V" tail. One of the best slow flying models I ever built. Flew one with a Fox .50...way over powered...but it was fun. The "V" tail is powered by its second K&B Sportser .45. Great combination of light weight and good power. Most un-recognised good flying model ever built. Like the Falcon 56 and the Ugly Stick...a superb flyer. Sweet, honest slow aerobatics its forta...and I just love the plane. My first one went in hard with a lock out on my old 72 meter gear and after this switched over to 2.4 gig gear. I do look to build another kit...this one with a "T" tail. Mine come out to under 4.5 lbs. with a 1000 sq./inches of lifting surface...it just floats along...and touches down so sweet.

They became available again two weeks ago or so. Ordered 2 from towerhobbies my first one was also powered by a kb sportster. 45. Loved it very much, super relaxing Flyer. I crashed it after replacing the aileron servos, did not check direction of travel
I'm in the process of building now my second. Good times.
