Default Building the Firebat (beginner)

So, my father has a friend who's really into rc airplanes. When I was a kid he gave me several incomplete projects of his to finish. Never had the money to start on them until now. So I chose the easiest one he gave me to start with. The arf Firebat. I have experience with rc cars, but none with airplanes.

Here's the instructions, on the page of what I need.

www.
manualslib.com/manual/1055134/Great-Planes-Firebat.html?page=3

The plane comes with a brushed motor, battery, and esc. I have 3 HS-81 servos, but they are micro servos. So I'm confused if they will work or not, or if I should just buy 2 regular servos. I would rather keep this as simple as possible and not go 4 channel. I'm completely lost on what radio and receiver to get. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated
