Question Can I use old unused covering?

I have and old Great Planes Spirit glider (Craigslist purchase) that I need to recover. The plane came with a fair amount of spare items including some covering which I assume is Monokote. My guess is that the plane and covering are somewhere around 20 years old. What I'm wondering is if I can recover the plane with the old stuff or should I just by new?

Try a piece of it on some scrap balsa. As long as the adhesive sticks and it shrinks o.k go ahead. I buy old rolls from swap meets all the time.

If you doubt the adhesive use Coverite Balsarite B4 covering, Really helps, I have used some of my mid 80's monokote and Econo-kote. Works great.
