Kudos on the successful maiden. The parts list is a nifty idea.

Just an update of the Sport-Air. Bob has many flight on her now and I just love how she flies! Here is an excerpt of an email that Bob sent to me a couple of weeks ago;

"I understand now the value of building and airplane properly. There is no doubt in my mind that it is the finest RC airplane that I have flown and that it can make me a much better pilot. Every aspect of the performance is exactly as it should be.

While we were going through the process, I wondered about the need for some of the modifications which you incorporated. There is no doubt in my mind now that the better hinges, pull/pull rudder, separate aileron servos, stronger build joints, etc. are all important to building a model that is far superior to anything that I have flown."

I just thought I would share this with all of you...

VJ

VJ, My mentor who passed in 1999 used to say to me the biggest thrill in RC modeling is to see an airplane that you built from the ground up fly straight and level without having to trim it or modifying it in some way to get it to fly. I agree with that idea 100% and I try to practice it to the max. Thanks for sharing your build and hope to see more of your builds here on the Universe.
Thank You
Michael Johnston
