Where is my soapbox? A word of advice to anyone who is willing to do this - respond to him with a PM, not in public. In today's litigious environment you do not need to advertise possible copyright violations. I don't know if the copyright on this is even still valid but why take a chance?

Get ready for a huge amount of sub assembly work ! I built this kit for a guy when it first came out and wow is there a lot to do . It feels like you build three fuselages by the time you are done It is a super cool airplane. Just don't test fly it with a receiver from a crashed plane like my buddy did....

Foodstick, thanks for reply and warning. I build about 6 to 8 new planes each year. I can fly about average skill level. I never test fly my own planes as my club has several supper pilots in it. Two are factory sponsored Giant Scale Racers and both have won a World Championship racing. We also have several very good 3D fliers and club instructors. I always let them fly first flight and get plane in trim out before I fly it. I almost never crash my planes on first flight.
I am sure the F-14 will be a long build, but Great Planes always has good instructions and if I am careful and read the instructions all will work out OK. I am also working out construction details of 8 ft. B-47-D prop jet. Hope to work on both this winter as maim projects to finish. Again thanks for help. Ken C.

The F-14 is a great flying plane, you will have no issues with it. As soon as mine lifted off on its maiden flight, I knew it was going to be a keeper. Just grooves. Mine must have a thousand flights on it. Enjoy it.

Thanks Jimm, That is the type of news I wanted to hear. I hope to use it at war bird flies. Looking for an outrageous color scheme due to old age and tired eyes. Looking for something like stars and bar or one time show paint job. I will contact U S Navy Museum in FL. for help in this matter. Last thing I do not need is a dull gray plane on an overcast day. If you can help with color scheme I would appreciate it very much, or anyone else reading this can come up with a colorful plane I would like your input. Ken C.
