Default Superhots 60

Here is my pair of super hots 60 I built
one has Super Tiger 61 abc and the new pink one has an OS SF 61 abc.
these are a boatload of fun even with the wild colors. I didn’t do a build thread on these rather piggybacked the new hots onto the Northstar thread as I was finishing it. I hope this is not confusing and appreciate everyone chiming in. The Northstar is ready for the lake now and I will upload pictures from flying off the water. Thanks everyone!

Did you fly the Northstar off water yet? With Balsa USA’s sale going on right now I kind want to order one! We get a lot of snow every spring, could be a great snow boat airplane for me. I’d want to full sheet one and 3/4oz cloth it.

And for the landing gear, do you just tape over the holes for ‘water mode’?

Actually, I never did fly it off water. I got busy with other stuff, racers and such.
It will work off snow easily as well, just take a small piece of covering and cover the landing gear blocks.
Fun plane, had several, deltas are always fun and different!

Cool Northstar & Snow

Once the wind quits blowing and the snow stops falling...and assuming you can get the engine started (bust out the RONSON)
will the Northstart have a chance of flying off the snow?

That's cool! Oh, and that is the perfect color airplane for the occasion..

I bought some skies for my Uproars years ago, thinking maybe someday I would get a chance to use them. That happens around here maybe once every 20 years.

A couple years ago, when I really had a good opportunity, the roads were so bad, and the fact that we were out of power.. I did not throw on the skies and make the 35 mile trip to the flying field
